    G1, the Google - TMobile phone, received as the open mobile platform

    That is the general idea that industry people has about the G1, the first Android phone presented this September 23rd by TMobile. The device, with a not so pretty style, has its major advantages in the platform, the posibility to be an open one at the end of the year, an open SDK and a App Market that will let users to acquire from it the apps they want.

    For Stan Schroeder, the IPhone is like the Mac OS and the GPhone (in this first case, the G1 from TMobile) is _ to him _ like the Linux platform, where developers can explode all the capabilities that common users do not see on it.

    On CrunchGear, the comparison goes almost in the same direction. The IPhone it is a "cool" device, while the GPhone can be considered a device for nerds. The OS comparison is also established like the Unix - Android and Mac OS - IPhone.

    Well, the fact is that Google has officialy entered to this market with strenght, some people think the G1 is far from beating IPhone, but others think that this is not a short time race, it is some kind of long time purpose, that involves _ for google _ to attrack developers in order to provide application in order to enhance what is provided by default by thy platform. While IPhone goes in the "be cool" line, trying to capture the attention of the consumers that want something for fashion.
